Pemicu meledaknya perang Irak adalah keyakinan bahwa di negara tersebut tersimpan sejumlah senjata pemusnah masal yang disembunyikan di suatu tempat di negeri ini. Pemerintah Amerika pun memerintahkan Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) untuk mencari tahu lokasi senjata berbahaya ini.

Informasi lokasi senjata pemusnah masal ini jelas tak bisa didapat dari pihak Irak yang bersikukuh bahwa mereka tak memiliki senjata seperti yang dituduhkan pemerintah Amerika ini. Terpaksa Roy harus melacak lokasi senjata ini hanya dengan berbekal berbagai informasi yang didapatnya dari pihak intelejen. Meski telah mendapat bantuan peralatan canggih, tetap saja pekerjaan tersebut bukan pekerjaan mudah dan tanpa resiko.

Black Hawk Down

In Somalia, 1993, famine and civil war has gripped the country, resulting in over 300,000 civilian deaths and a huge UN peacekeeping operation. With the bulk of the peacekeepers withdrawn, the Somali militia have declared war on the remaining UN personnel. In response, America's elite soldiers, the Army Rangers, Delta Force and the 160th SOAR are deployed to Somalia to capture Mohammed Farrah Aidid, self-proclaimed president of the country. Outside Mogadishu, United States Army Rangers and Delta Force operatives capture Osman Ali Atto, a Somali warlord selling arms to the militia of Mohammed Farrah Aidid, the most powerful of warlords in Mogadishu. Shortly thereafter, a mission is planned to capture Omar Salad Elmi and Abdi Hassan Awale Qeybdiid, two of Aidid's top political advisers while attending a meeting. Sgt. Matthew Eversmann is placed in command of Ranger Chalk Four, after Lt. Beales suffers an epileptic fit shortly before the mission - Eversmann's first command.

The operation is launched in mid-afternoon, October 3 1993. Delta Force successfully captures the delegates, however Pfc. Todd Blackburn falls from one of the Black Hawk helicopters, severely injuring his back. Three Humvees led by Sgt. Jeff Struecker are detached from the main column to return Blackburn to the UN-held Mogadishu Airport, however en route, Sgt. Dominick Pilla is shot and killed. Shortly thereafter, Black Hawk Super-Six One, piloted by CWO Clifton "Elvis" Wolcott is shot down and crashes deep within the city. The ground forces begin to converge on the crash site, however the Somali militia throw up roadblocks, resulting in Lt. Col Danny McKnight's Humvee column becoming lost, and sustains heavy casualties. Meanwhile, two Ranger Chalks, including Eversmann's unit reach Super-Six One's crash site, setting up a defensive perimeter. In the interim, Super-Six Four, piloted by CWO Michael Durant is shot down, crashing within the city.

With Cpt. Mike Steele's Rangers pinned down and sustaining heavy casualties, no ground forces can reach Super Six Four's crash site, nor reinforce the Rangers defending Super Six One. Two Delta snipers, Sgt. Randy Shughart and Master Sgt. Gary Gordon are voluntarily inserted by helicopter to Super Six Four's crash site, where they find Durant still alive. Super Six Four's crash site is eventually overrun, with Gordon and Shughart killed, and Durant captured. Meanwhile, McKnight's column, having taken heavy casualties gives up attempting to reach Six-One's crash site, and returns to base. In response, Gen. Garrison orders the 10th Mountain Division, including Pakistani and Malaysian forces to be mobilised, to provide a relief column. The Somali militia launch a sustained assault on Super Six One's crash site throughout the night and into the morning, until the troops are extracted by the 10th Mountain Division.

A handful of remaining Army Rangers and Delta Force operatives run the "Mogadishu Mile" from the crash site back to the Pakistani Stadium, in the UN Safe Zone. The movie ends detailing the results of the raid - 19 US soldiers were killed, with over 1,000 Somalis dead. Michael Durant was released after 11 days of captivity. Delta Snipers Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart were the first soldiers to be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War. On August 2 1996, Mohammed Farrah Aidid was killed in a battle with a rival Somali clan. General Garrison retired the following day.

5 Days Of War

Menyampaikan kebenaran memang tak pernah mudah. Saat ada kepentingan politik yang terlibat, benar atau salah bukanlah pertimbangan pertama. Tugas seorang reporter yang semula sederhana pun jadi bertambah rumit. Bukan hanya menyabung nyawa namun juga harus berperang melawan hati nurani.

Thomas Anders (Rupert Friend) adalah seorang wartawan peran yang sempat merasa terguncang setelah menyaksikan kematian salah satu rekan kerjanya akibat perang Irak. Meskipun begitu naluri wartawan Thomas tetap bangkit saat ia mendengar kabar Rusia bakal menginvasi Georgia. Bersama Sebastian Ganz (Richard Coyle), Thomas pun berangkat menuju Georgia.

Kondisi di sana semakin memburuk namun sepertinya dunia tak mau membuka mata. Semua fakta sudah ada di tangan Thomas namun untuk mengabarkan kebenaran ini pada dunia ternyata bukanlah sebuah tugas mudah. Rusia tak ingin kabar ini tersiar sementara dunia masih disibukkan dengan kejadian besar lain yang sepertinya menyita perhatian. Lima hari di Georgia terasa bagaikan bertahun-tahun. Semua terjadi begitu cepat dan Thomas harus membuat keputusan.

FILM Age of Heroes follows the exploits of Corporal Rains (Danny Dyer) as he is inducted into the newly formed 30 Commando unit in World War II. Rains and the rest of the platoon are put through intensive training under the watchful eye of Major Jones (Sean Bean), where their skills and endurance are pushed to the limit as they prepare for their first highly classified and dangerous mission: to parachute into occupied Norway and capture deadly new radar technology from the Germans which could change the outcome of the war.

The newly formed band of brothers are joined in their task by local insurgent Steinar (Aksel Hennie) and beautiful spy Jensen (Izabella Miko). All their lethal commando skills are put to the test as they attempt to rescue Norwegian villagers, escape fierce gun battles and attain the radar technology from Nazi commander Teichman (Eric Madsen). Their plan is thrown into crisis when their pick-up is delayed and they must fight their way to the border of Sweden. With the Nazis desperate to hunt them down and stop them, the commandos realise how important their mission is to the war effort, as the fate of the Allies' advance into Europe rests in their hands. After a long trek in the snow the commandos try to re supply by exploring a farm which unfortunately is shown to be empty. To make things worse the Germans catch up with them at the farm with one of the commandos captured alive during an earlier fire fight. The Germans ask for their surrender in exchange for the life of their captured friend as well as their own. However the commandos refuse to surrender and choose to fight to the end and open fire on the Germans and this begins an intense fire fight. The spy Jensen and the liaison are ordered to rush to Swedish border while the rest of the commandos provide cover for them to escape. Eventually Major Jones realizes that there are too many of them and they do not have enough ammo to hold out much longer. So he orders commandos Rains and Steinar to run for the border while Major Jones along with fellow commando Mackenzie stay to cover them however they are not seen again after been shown continually firing and suppressing the Germans it is presumed that they are overrun and killed or taken captive. The Germans catch up to Rains and Steiner retreating and Steinar is shot and killed. With no ammo, Rains prepares to use his knife to kill himself so the Germans cannot torture the truth out of him. However before he does Jensen and the liaison return and kill enough of the pursuing Germans to allow the three of them to escape. Eventually after eluding the Germans they make it to Sweden having achieved their objective though it cost the lives of five commandos. The last scene shows the two surviving team members and Jensen heading down a hill into Sweden.
